Music @ Felcino Bianco aims to provide solutions for musicians and their needs in a variety of different ways. We do this by focussing on what it is that they seek to achieve for themselves, using intensive study, preparation for interpretation, supervised practice and performance of pieces that are of particular importance to the musician(s).

MasterClass of Music Citerna is our principal activity taking place this year from 15th - 28th of July 2012. Up to 30 attendees can enrol for this course which will concentrate on violin, viola and violoncello with a limited number of piano students. Thus, works for strings, chamber music and piano accompaniment can be included. Cello jazz/improvisation may also be available (see also www.cellorhythmics.co.uk ) Students will benefit from intensive tuition on a daily basis, masterclasses and performance in at least two concerts to be performed during the course. The concerts will be open to the public.

Tuition/Supervision for MasterClass of Music Citerna in 2012 will be provided by Elvira Bekova (violin),and Alfia Bekova (violoncello), both members of the Bekova Trio, and by Sergey Bezrodny (pianoforte). Those invited in the past have included James Hesford (cello jazz, guitar and improvisation), Povilas Stravinsky (pianoforte) and Reinbert Evers (classical guitar).

Alternatives to the Masterclass of Music Citerna in 2012 will include residential courses of no more than 6 - 8 professional or advanced amateur strings players who will stay with us at Felcino Bianco, board, lodging and accommodation, as well as professional fees will be included in the price. The aim is to focus on the expressed wishes of the applicants, beit for solo or ensemble purposes. These may be intensive study, preparation and rehearsal of predetermined pieces and/or attention to techniques , studies and scales. Essentially YOU the applicant will decide what you want to concentrate on and for how long you wish to work at it. Dates can be arranged to suit YOUR convenience. Elvira Bekova will be in residence on such occasions and it may be possible for Alfia Bekova and/or Sergey Bezrodny to join her for specific projects. Finally, should the numbers of applicants warrant it, additional courses along the lines of MasterClass of Music Citerna can be arranged. Preformed strings groups, e.g. quartets, are especially welcome.

In 2012 the MasterClass of Music Citerna will run from Sunday 15th to Friday 28th July inclusive. This course normally lasts two weeks in duration although shorter or longer periods of attendance can be negotiated. Other courses of study, supervised practice or performance preparation can be arranged by negotiation.

Fees
€600 for two weeks; shorter or longer periods may be agreed on a pro-rata basis (Payment in pounds/euros is accepted).
Bursaries/scholarships may be available depending on personal circumstances. Fees are reduced for ensembles. The price of Masterclass of Music Citerna does not include accommodation or travel/medical insurance. The price of residential courses in Felcino Bianco will be by negotiation depending on the length of time desired and the numbers attending

Accommodation
We are happy to advise on accommodation available locally which may be hotels, agriturismo, B & B or self-catering. Felcino Bianco (our home) can provide self catering accommodation for limited numbers during Music MasterClass Citerna but since we accommodate the faculty members for the duration of the course (in the interests of economy with respect to the course fees) the house is often full. At other times of the year we will provide accommodation in the main house for those seeking musical guidance and experiences or seeking additional individual classes with Elvira Bekova.
