Summer Schools at Felcino Bianco

- In 2007 the MasterClass Music Citerna course will run from 15th - 28th July with the possibility of a second course for violin only, "Violino Bel Canto" in Monterchi in the first half of August. Each course lasts two weeks in duration although shorter periods can be negotiated. Precise dates for Monterchi will be published on this page in due course. Please apply by 1st June at the latest.
You should also indicate your preferred timing on the application form.
- Fees
- €500 for two weeks; shorter or longer periods may be agreed on a pro-rata basis (Payment in pounds/euros or dollars is accepted).
Bursaries/scholarships may be available depending on personal circumstances. Fees are reduced for ensembles. The price does not include accommodation or travel/medical insurance.
We are happy to advise on local hotels and agriturismo (B&B) or it may be possible to have self-catering accommodation at Felcino Bianco. The Citerna course will be held in the Hotel Sobaria as in previous years and in the Church of San Michele. The Hotel offers those attending the course accommodation which may be B&B, half- or full board at advantageous prices. Limited but comfortable accommodation is available in Felcino Bianco for participants wishing to arrive before or stay on after the principal courses so as to benefit from additional individual lessons from Elvira Bekova. Brochures with full details will be mailed to those proposing to attend as soon as they have been printed.
It should be noted that in Italy travel/medical insurance is considered essential since the Health Service does not cover non-residents.
